Admission Process

Parents interested in exploring Town and Country Montessori may inquire throughout the year. Applications for the upcoming school year are accepted at any time. The steps below are a suggested path to follow if you are interested in enrolling your child at Town and Country Montessori.

  • Contact the school by phone at (203) 834-1195. At this time we will send you a brochure about the school and a form which will aid your visit to the school.
  • Schedule a Parent Visit to observe the classroom and meet our staff October – December. This is a time for you to ask any questions you may have, and observe the classroom without your child.
  • Complete and return an Application with deposit to hold your child’s place.
  • The school will contact you to arrange a time to meet your child. This short visit will be an opportunity for child and staff members to get know each other in the classroom. It is important to both parents and the school to ensure that the Montessori classroom environment is the right place for your child.
  • After these steps have been completed, all new student applications will be reviewed and placements made for available spaces. Town and Country gives consideration to the following:
    • A priority to siblings of current and former families.
    • The date on which the application is received.
    • A commitment to an even balance of age and gender in the classroom.
    • A family’s commitment to the school’s Montessori vision and educational philosophy.

Please note: Town & Country Montessori does not discriminate on the basis of gender, and embraces children of all races, national origins and religions.

  • The issuance of an Enrollment Contract will guarantee your child’s placement when returned with the appropriate deposit within the two week deadline. If a spot is not currently available your child will be kept on a waiting list and you will be contacted if a place becomes available.
